src: www.scielo.br

Sulfentrazone is a chemical used as a herbicide. It is the active ingredient in Dismiss as well as Solitare herbicides. It controls weeds by disrupting membranes and inhibits photosynthesis in plants commonly known as PPO Inhibition. Sulfentrazone is received in the plants through the roots of the plants. As the plants come out of the soil , they die after exposure to light. It also works of foliar contact causing rapid desiccation. Sulfentrazone kills annual and perennial sedges, cool season grasses(Poa annua, Poa trivialis, tall fescue) . It also controls broadleaf weeds that are in established, warm season, perennial grasses including bermudagrass, St. Augustinegrass and zoysiagrass, centipede, and kikuyugrass. Sulfentrzone is used to remove tall fescue and sedges from warm season turf grasses and Kentucky bluegrass.
